Summary:
Contributes to the goal of reducing overall supply chain costs by improving price accuracy related to new and existing GPO and local contracts/cost initiatives. Utilizes various forms of transaction data to identify price discrepancies between POs, vendor acknowledgments and contract prices to recognize areas for cost savings. Supports Contracting, Spend Managment, System Specialists and other Supply Chain staff focusing on price management analysis.

Responsibilities:
* Interacts with supply chain staff, internal stakeholders, contracted vendors and distributors as necessary to identify, inspect, verify, and (when within decision making authority) initiate the resolution of vendor supply sufficiency issues.
* Monitors item backorder reports and inventory tracking materials, along with outcomes provided by VA and Purchasing workgroups. Monitors all available market disruption surveillance materials (especially provided by Vizient's Supply Assurance team) in order to fully understand and assess disruption impacts to our region and specifically to CHST. Provide briefings to designated individuals regarding pending disruptions to supply flow and item availability. Provides executive summary emails with data backup to support a necessary update cadence determined by the severity of a situation.
* Assesses mitigation strategies for supply, operational and environmental disruptions.
* Serve as the internal and external liaison for all disruption mitigation strategies.
* Serve as the Supply Chain emergency manager responsible for evaluating, documenting, maintaining, activating and managing business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.
* Provide situational awareness, confirmations and guidance to all levels of the organization during a disruption response and proactive planning for recovery.

 How You’ll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 4 years Job related experience Req
* Excellent Excel and analytical skills Req
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills Req
* Knowledge of purchasing/inventory data, contracts, vendor management, state/local/regional emergency management procedures. Pref
* Experience in designing/altering queries using various tools, including SQL and Access Pref
* Understanding of medical suppliers, vendors and their relationships or healthcare industry in general Pref

EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req
